I am trying to travel to Detroit MI from Chicago IL on 12/30/2009 round trip?
My point in asking is i need to find the cheapest way of getting there. Can anyone help ?? i don't mind car greyhound as long as its cheap !! Detroit - 3 Answers

the train would probably be the cheapest

craigslist has a rideshare section, but if hitching a ride with a stranger isn't your idea of a good time, I suggest Megabus. google them for complete information but they travel between Unsion Station in Chicago and Grand Circus Park in Detroit

Check out Amtrek - Usually VERY Cheap, and you get to relax and see some scenery. Plus it arrives right in downtown Royal Oak.
